Professional Experience

Michael Emerson has extensive experience defending manufacturers, corporations, and insurers in complex litigation across the United States and internationally. Over the course of his career, Mike has successfully represented clients in high-stakes products liability cases involving heavy trucks, motor vehicles, industrial equipment, fire-control systems, boats, watercraft, and petrochemicals.

His practice also includes construction litigation, where he handles matters involving catastrophic personal injuries, property damage, and construction defects. In the area of premises liability, Mike has represented numerous national grocery chains, retail companies, and shopping centers in claims related to negligent security and premises maintenance.

Mike’s litigation experience spans both trial and appellate levels, and he is heavily involved in all aspects of commercial litigation, including contract disputes and business torts. In recent years, his practice has expanded to include firearms liability cases involving allegations of “straw purchases.”

He is an active member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, Products Liability Practice Group, Appellate Advocacy Practice Group, and Trucking and Motor Carrier Practice Group. Known for his meticulous preparation and strategic insight, Mike brings over three decades of courtroom experience to every case he handles.
