James Wilson

James A. Wilson is an attorney with Barber Munson and is recognized by Super Lawyers as a Mid‐South Super Lawyers – Rising Star®. His practice focuses on civil litigation matters, including insurance coverage and defense, school law, and arson and insurance fraud investigation and litigation.

A native of central Texas, James commissioned as a United States Air Force officer following his undergraduate education.  While serving as an aviator on C-130s and Special Operations U-28s, James deployed in support of multiple combat operations around the globe and was involved in several high-stakes, no-fail missions.  He is recognized among the top 4% of Air Force aviators, with 1,468 combat flight hours, and was awarded 13 Air Medals during his six deployments.  Following his service in the Air Force, James was a business leader in the electric utilities industry for several years before beginning on his legal career.  

James holds a master’s degree from the University of Arkansas and is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law.  At the Bowen School of Law, James served as President and Vice President of the UA Little Rock Law Student Veterans Organization, was a member of the Inaugural Veterans Legal Services Clinic, and was recognized for various achievements, including Top Paper in Oil and Gas Law.
