Professional Experience
Jim Robertson joined the Barber Law Firm in 2000 following his service as a Trial Attorney for the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for the Sixth Judicial District of Arkansas, where he developed substantial courtroom and litigation experience. Prior to becoming a prosecutor, Jim served as a law clerk to Justice Robert L. Brown on the Arkansas Supreme Court, gaining invaluable insight into appellate practice, judicial reasoning, and the development of Arkansas law.
At Barber Munson, Jim is a key member of the firm’s Labor and Employment Law Practice Group, Litigation Practice Group, and Products Liability Practice Group. He serves as lead counsel for clients in a broad range of complex matters, including class actions, employment law and wage-and-hour disputes, premises liability, product liability, and commercial litigation. His practice also includes advising clients on regulatory compliance, risk management, and high-stakes corporate disputes.
Jim is widely recognized for his analytical skill, strategic approach, and depth of experience in both trial and appellate courts. His work has earned him an AV Overall Peer Rating in labor and employment, litigation, and products liability—reflecting the high level of respect he holds within the legal community.
